Pets

I’ve gone through a number of “pet phases” in my life.  The longest “phase” since being an adult, was being a co-parent to my sweet little guy (see below).  He was such a good lil doggie and of course, like most dog owners and parents – this one was the smartest, most compassionate, and more special than anyone’s dog ever.  I’m gonna miss him, but man, he brought me some peace and happiness.  RIP Buddy

New Beginnings

Most people have heard the cliche “New Year, New Me” – around the last day of December or the first day of January as those times of the year are common times that people reflect back on the good/bad and ugly of the previous year, as well as hopes/dreams of the coming new year.

When I think of “new beginnings” I typically think of a milestone or meeting a benchmark of some sort.  I have been pondering “new beginnings” on a day to day basis.  Isn’t everyday a “new beginning?”  For those of us who are still alive and conscious (having a mind that functions), we are allowed the opportunity to have a “new beginning” at any time.  Question for me is, why do some people have the viewpoint of being able to start anew, and others cannot/do not/will not?
